Program includes David Rakowski’s Thickly Settled, Arlene Zallman’s Triquetra, Chester Biscardi’s *Di Vivere, Judith Shatin’s Secret Ground, Harvey Sollberger’s To the Spirit Unappeased, Luciano Berio’s O King, and Salvatore Sciarrino’s Lo Spazio Inverso. *Di Vivere was written for the Da Capo Chamber Players under a National Endowment for the Arts Composer / Librettist Grant, 1980-1981. It was premiered by Da Capo on May 17, 1982 as part of their “Connections with the Past” series at Carnegie Hall and paired with Debussy’s Sonata for Flute, Viola and Harp (1915). Da Capo recorded it for Naxos in 2010.
