“What a Coincidence” at Pasadena Conservatory of Music

Tenor Krishna Raman and pianist Lucy Yates perform Chester Biscardi's "What a Coincidence" from Modern Love Songs (2007-2010). Still Looking explores what we are taught about finding love through stories, media, and the people around us, as opposed to the reality of seeking love in the world today as a queer man. This performance was part of the Prima Voce Emerging Artists Fall Recital Series in 2023. “What a Coincidence” from Modern Love Songs (2007-2010) Still Looking explores what we are taught about finding love through stories, media, and the people around us, as opposed to the reality of seeking love in the world today as a queer man. ARTS AMPLIFIED: The four-hand piano recital at the New Hope Arts Center will include works by Franz Schubert, David Rakowski, Arnold Schoenberg, Chester Biscardi, and Leonard Bernstein. The Nine Recital Pieces for Young Pianists [1989] by Rakowski and Nel giardinetto della villa (In the Little Garden of the Villa) [1994] are commissioned works that were premiered in California and Minnesota.
